OS X Sendet Syslog an eine Remote-Box

Aus irgendeinem Grund fällt es mir schwer, meinen Kopf darüber zu wickeln, wie OS X mit Dingen wie init, cron und "normal" Daemon maint umgeht. Zu viele Jahre damit verbracht, *nix funktioniert.

Wie konfiguriere ich Syslogd auf einer 10.6 OS X-Box, um Protokolle an einen Syslog-Server zu senden?

War eine einfache Frage des Hinzufügens: 

*.*       @remote_ip

Nach / etc / syslog.conf

Dann Ausgabe

launchctl stop com.apple.syslogd
launchctl start com.apple.syslogd

seufzer was auch immer mit /etc/rc passiert ist.d/init.d / syslogd neu starten. . .
