Audio-mixer-Ersatz für Windows XP?

Ähnlich wie Notepad durch viele Texteditoren ersetzt werden kann. Gibt es etwas zu ersetzen Windows XP eingebaute einfache Audio-Mixer (sndvol32.exe), mit etwas vielseitiger?

Um sowohl Wiedergabe und Aufnahme effizienter als mit Windows-Standard-Lautstärkeregler zu steuern, ist Audio-Steuerung besser. Auch ist es nicht mit unerwünschten Funktionen aufgebläht.
